Where it gets uncomfortable.
There are happenings in this world that many Christians don't want to talk about, either due to fear of opening the wrong door or dismissive of its high strangeness, finding no relevant place for it in the biblical worldview and its prophetic undertones. We believe differently. Some things are frightening, many others are wonderful. Some will be about technology, others about history. All of it will be beyond the textbooks. Below are examples of the unexplained that are currently being investigated by serious experts in their field, and we are actively vetting the claims here at 252. If anything is found to be false you will be alerted in the blog.
Can-Am Missing Project/Missing 411
What could be causing people to disappear without a single trace as if spirited away? Why are even believers experiencing this tragedy? Is there a prophetic connection to 2 Thessalonians 2? In 2010, author and retired police veteran David Paulides began researching a strange spate of documented missing persons cases that were clustered almost exclusively in national parks. Receiving little media attention and negative search and rescue results, he sought to understand the bizarre circumstances surrounding these disappearances but found a much more unsettling situation. High-level park management and government agencies gave little cooperation with FOIA requests on the subject. Instances in these cases involve children being found in places impossible for them to climb to, bodies found in an area that had been walked over many times, missing clothing that did not fit the criteria for paradoxical undressing caused by hypothermia, and odd conditions in which remains were found inconsistent with animal attacks.
Join David Paulides as he takes us on a tour of key locations where the following victims went missing. He gives us a timeline of events leading up to the disappearance, and how the evidence excludes common explanations. These are just four of over twelve hundred cases in North America and seven other countries. Missing 411: Dr. Maurice Dametz
In 1981, 84-year-old pastor and physician Dr. Maurice Dametz went missing in Pike National Forest in central Colorado. He was digging for topaz along with a friend David McSweeny who, after spending a short time away from Dr. Dametz, came back to find him and his digging tools missing. Several medical conditions excluded that he walked away on his own, and there were no signs of disturbance in the area. His remains were never found.

Missing 411: James McGrogan
Dr. James McGrogan went missing while travelling a popular ski trail outside of Vail, CO. He was found 20 days later nearly 4.5 aerial miles from his hiking spot, and experienced injuries inconsistent with the condition in which he was discovered. He carried a working gps, a working phone that had strong signal for miles around, a split snowboard, beacon, a probe, helmet, and other survival equipment. His boots were missing.

Missing 411: Bobby Bizup
10-year-old Bobby Bizup was last seen at Cabin Creek in the Rocky Mountains during a stay at a summer camp for Catholic youth in 1958. Bobby was deaf. He went missing outside the park, but his remains were found within park boundaries on Mt. Meeker a year later. What is strange is that he was walking behind a camp counselor on their way to dinner, but when the counselor turned around Bobby was gone.

Missing 411: Jared Atadero
A heartbreaking case. In 1999, at age 3, Jaryd Atadero went missing in the Comanche Peak Wilderness of Northern Colorado. He was with a family friend and his older sister while traveling with a singles group that was hiking the Big South Trail. Searchers found his remains 4 years later roughly 550ft above his last known location. Like the others, no evidence points to any known suspect.
